Dr. Todd Kettner began his career as a clinical psychologist in the School of Medicine at the University of Manitoba before moving to Nelson BC where he founded Summit Psychology Group nearly 20 years ago. Recently, he worked for five years as the district Psychologist and Safe Schools Coordinator for the Kootenay Lake school district. He has taught at colleges and universities in California, Manitoba and British Columbia. Todd has served as president of the British Columbia Psychological Association, as a committee member of the College of Psychologists of BC, and as Nelson’s Community Champion for Olympian Clara Hughes’ cross-Canada Ride to raise awareness about Mental Health.

He leads workshops for educators, health care professionals, mental health clinicians, law enforcement, and parents across western Canada. Todd is also a trainer for Safer Schools Together. Todd loves skiing, backpacking and mountain biking with his wife and two teenagers. His favourite adventure (so far) was living on a sailboat in the Caribbean when their children were in elementary school.
