The current cyber threat landscape is vast, complex, and extremely opportunistic for malicious actors. Whether the target is a private business, a government entity, or an individual, criminals are becoming more efficient and effective. This session will explore specific methods used to facilitate various types of cybercrimes, and the real-life impacts these events leave on victims and communities, as several case examples will be examined. Attendees of this training will gain a better understanding of what these threats are, the methodology, susceptible victims/targets, and best practices for prevention.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Overview of common cyber scams and the utilization of AI in these scams
  • Strategies for enhancing digital privacy and security
  • Best practices in digital hygiene and preventing unauthorized access
  • Impact of cybersecurity on personal and organizational security
  • Balancing digital convenience with privacy and security measures
