Now, more than ever, the digital and social media world has flowed into the classroom and school environment. This changing landscape has had positives for learning but has also had a multitude of negative implications on a school’s culture and climate. This staff session covers staff and student online safety as well as the permanence of digital tattoos. This presentation also compliments the Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (PBIS) framework.
This training will include:
- Recognizing and responding to cyberbullying
- Staff professional and personal use of social media
- Guidelines around interacting with students online
- Suggestions to help continue valuable post-presentation discussion with students
